ALPHONSINE E. MORRISSETTE
Alphonsine E. (Desaulniers) Morrissette, 90, of Manchester, NH, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Laurel Center, in Bedford.
Born on November 30, 1917, in Weare, NH, she was the daughter of the late Francis X. and Louise (Boudreau) Desaulniers. She was a resident of Manchester for the past 42 years. Prior to this, she resided in Chester, NH.
She was a former member of St. Peter's Ladies Guild. Mrs. Morrissette enjoyed cooking and spending time taking care of her grandchildren. She also liked to watch game shows.
Members of her family include; 1 son, Robert R. Morrissette, of Manchester, 5 daughters, Yvette T. Prindiville, Pauline V. Denoncourt, Denise R. Fortier, Anita L. Morrissette, and Susan F. Shallow, all of Manchester, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Morrissette was predeceased by her husband, Roland G. Morrissette, who died in 1964.
IN HER LIFE: Mrs. Morrissette was predeceased by her grandson, Robert R. "BJ" Denoncourt, Jr.
Calling hours will be Thursday, May 8, from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11 AM at St. Augustin Church, 383 Beech Street, in Manchester. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite # 110, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mrs. Morrissette.
