Almerzine Hunter Jackson, age 83, of Peterborough, NH died on June 28, 2009 at the Harborside Pheasant Wood Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on July 13, 1925 to the late David Isaiah and Tiny (Means) Hunter. In 1946, she was united in marriage to the late Frank Jackson. There were no children born into this union.
At an early age, she joined the Foster Grove Baptist Church in Cherokee, SC and was a member of the choir, the sympathy club and was eager to work in the church in any capacity she was needed.
After moving to Connecticut in 1967, Mrs. Jackson joined the East End Baptist Church in Bridgeport, CT where she was a dedicated member.
Almerzine moved to New Hampshire in 2004 to be with family. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, until her sight was lost.
She leaves to mourn, a brother Clarence and his wife Theola Hunter of Mcdonough, GA; two nephews: Duane Hunter, Brian Hunter; a great nephew: Anthony Hunter.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11:00am in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH. Calling hours will be held prior from 9:00 – 11:00m. Burial will follow the service in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH
