Mr. Gaston "Gus" St. Pierre, 77, of Manchester died February 13, 2010 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

He was born on February 14, 1932 in St. Pierre Baptiste, Megantic, Quebec the son of the late Elphege and Anna (Poirier) St. Pierre.

Gus worked as a carpenter for ProCon Inc and Guy's Construction during his career.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and woodworking. Gus was an all around handyman, enjoying the art of tinkering and puttering.

He was a member of La Lique du Sacre-Coeur, Alpine Club and Rimmon Club.

In His Life: He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Liliane (Baril) St. Pierre of Manchester; 3 sons, Denis St. Pierre and his wife Laurie (Roy) of Manchester, Normand St. Pierre and his wife Lorraine (Caza) of Manchester and Guy St. Pierre and his wife Diane (Rochefort) of Manchester; 2 daughters, Suzanne and her husband Timothy Dorgan of Weare and Carol and her husband Charlie Baker of Deering; 9 grandchildren, Tenley, Erick, Patrick, Bradley, Jordan, Keith and his wife Laura, Nicole, Cedric and Chandler; 1 great grandchild on the way; 3 brothers, Florent St. Pierre and his wife Marie Rose of Plessiville, Quebec, Bertrand St. Pierre and his wife Marie Jean of Tamarac, FL and Clermont St. Pierre and his wife Michelle of Niagara Falls, Ontario and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Jeannine Bilodeau who died on January 19, 2007.

Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30AM at Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave, Manchester. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Autism Society of NH or the American Cancer Society.
